When you are picking a date for your wedding there is no rules that you need to follow. But you do need to choose a date which will allow you plenty of time to make the plans for your wedding. When you are thinking about what the date will be for your wedding there are some things that you can think about that will help you.

First of all you should narrow down the date to a season and a year. So this could mean summer of 2011. When you have this time all set you can then go on and plan a particular date later on when that year comes, which is not like big weddings in any way. It is something to keep in mind that other people have their special dates too such as anniversaries, birthdays, and other occasions, so you do not want to share the same date.

You may want to pick the date of your wedding once you have all of the special dates of your family members that are special to them. Another way that can be used to narrow down your wedding day is to check the days that places are available, not to be confused with big weddings. At this time you should also check with the music, baker, and caterer to be sure that they are also available.

Another idea is to use the same date of a close family members birthday or anervirsery. If you are close to your parents or grandparents then you may want to use their date. You could use the date of your great grandmother’s birthday if you happen to be close to her. By setting the date for your wedding this way it is simple. Which ever the date is that you pick you must be sure that you book everything far in advance so that it will be all available. It reminds us of small weddings frequently. It doesn’t matter how you set the date for your wedding you must keep in mind that this is your special day to remember.
